Turkey’s Astronauts Will Meet with Youth at Near East University!

The Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and Turkey’s first astronauts, Alper Gezeravcı and Tuva Cihangir Atasever, will meet with Northern Cyprus at Near East University on Friday, May 2 at 10:00.

Turkey, which has attracted global attention with the steps it has taken in the field of space technologies and aviation in recent years, continues to strengthen its presence in space with the studies it carries out within the scope of the National Space Program. The historic space journey of Turkey’s first astronaut, Alper Gezeravcı, and the scientific test flight of Tuva Cihangir Atasever that followed him, have become a source of inspiration for the younger generations.

Astronauts Alper Gezeravcı and Tuva Cihangir Atasever, who made history with their space journeys, will meet with Northern Cyprus at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center on Friday, May 2 at 10:00. At the event, which will also be attended by Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, astronauts will chat with young people and answer questions about their space experiences. Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır will share Turkey’s space vision with the participants with a presentation.

TEKNOFEST Wind Will Blow at Full Speed!

The TEKNOFEST wind that will sweep over the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on May 1-4 had started to blow with the first stage of the TEKNOFEST Drone Championship hosted by Near East University last weekend. According to the statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, TEKNOFEST TRNC, which will be organized at the old Ercan Airport in Lefkoşa under the auspices of the Presidency of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and organized by the Ministry and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), will open its doors to visitors on May 1. The event, which will be held for the first time in the TRNC and will last until May 4, is organized with the vision of bringing science and technology together with society.

Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and astronauts Alper Gezeravcı and Tuva Cihangir Atasever, who came to the island within the scope of TEKNOFEST TRNC, will meet with the youth of Cyprus at Near East University.
