Theater and cinema artist Gülhan Tekin met with the students after the screening of the movie “Government Woman” at the “9. International Media Workshop” held by Near East University Faculty of Communication, Radio, TV and Cinema Department and Communication Studies Research Center.

Gülhan Tekin, casting in many films such as Government Women 1 and 2, Multi-Film Acts, These are too much artistic behaviours, Republic of Cologne, Maide’s Golden Day, Crazy Love, Time Machine 1973, Joyful Life, Organized Works, White Angel, International, Elephants and Grass, New Piece to the Old Village shared her career story and experiences with students in an interview moderated by Near East University Faculty of Communication faculty member Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ufuk Çelik.

Answering the questions of the students, Tekin told the students that they should evaluate their education processes in the most efficient way and that they will receive rewards when they move into professional life. Tekin advised them to read a lot of books and watch movies and theater plays during their student years, and said that they would get a lot in return for their professional life.

Tekin, who had a large fan group with “These Are Very Beautiful Movements” and the films produced by BKM, said that meeting Yılmaz Erdoğan and Demet Akbağ created the opportunity to write sketches and act in BKM kitchen for many years. Tekin, who has become a popular actress with her roles in theater plays, television series and movies, said that getting the chance to take a role in the movie “Elephants and Grass” directed by Turkish Cypriot director Derviş Zaim was a turning point in her artistic life.
