The date of the “TRNC Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam” to be administered by Near East University for the 2022-2023 academic year was announced. The exam will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2022, at 10:00, in a single session on the Near East University campus and at the exam centers in Famagusta, Kyrenia, Güzelyurt and İskele.
Students who are TRNC citizens and Turkish citizens who have completed the last four years of their education in the TRNC will be able to participate in the Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam to be administered by Near East University for the new academic year. As a result of the exam, students will have the right to choose and be placed in 225 undergraduate and associate degree programs in 20 faculties, 3 colleges and 2 vocational colleges within the Near East University.

Students who will take the Near East University 2022-2023 “TRNC Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam” must register by 10 June 2022 at the latest.
After the exam, candidates will be able to choose three departments. The placement process will be carried out among the departments chosen by the student in line with the exam result and the number of quotas. In addition, all students who have graduated from college or are entitled to graduate will be able to enroll in all departments of Near East University with their GCE A’Level, GCE AS Level, IGCSE-GCSE O’Level, SAT, ACT, exam result documents.

Near East University Vice-Rector Tüzünkan, who said that the “TRNC Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam” will provide the citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkish citizens who completed their education in the TRNC, with the opportunity to study at the Near East University, which is among the top 500 universities in the world, further stated that Near East University trains its students as world citizens who are fully equipped socially, academically and culturally. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tüzünkan invited all students who meet the exam entrance requirements to participate in the “TRNC Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam” to be administered by Near East University.
Reminding that Near East University is among the top 250 universities in the world in the fields of “engineering” and “computer sciences” in the world’s best universities ranking published by Times Higher Education, one of the higher education rating institutions, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Tüzünkan said that in the ‘Best Universities Ranking 2022’ published by AD Scientific Index, Near East University ranked 488th and became one of the top 500 universities in the world.
Documents required for the exam
The TRNC students who will participate in the exam will be able to register at the Near East University Registrar’s Office with a copy of their TRNC identity card and 1 passport-sized photo along with the exam application form. Citizens of Turkey, on the other hand, will be able to register together with the exam application form, along with a photocopy of their identity card, 1 photo and a document stating that they have completed their high school education in any educational institution in the TRNC for 4 years without interruption.
