The “December Concert” organized in cooperation with the TRNC Presidential Symphony Orchestra and the Near East University will present an unforgetable performance to the music lovers at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center on Friday, December 13 at 20:00.

The cooperation protocol between the Near East University and the TRNC Presidential Symphony Orchestra is also an important part of this. The “December Concert” is also meeting with the public free of charge.

A classical music feast will be experienced under the direction of conductor Murat Menket
The concert, which will be held under the direction of famous conductor Murat Menket, will present a distinguished repertoire that brings together three great names from the classical music world. The program will begin with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte” overture, which draws attention with its both cheerful and dramatic melodies. Then, Edvard Grieg’s “Holberg Suite, Op. 40”, adorned with romantic influences, will offer the audience an elegant and nostalgic journey. Edvard Grieg’s work, written in memory of the 18th century Norwegian writer Ludvig Holberg, will create a fascinating atmosphere, especially with the string instruments.

Finally, the program will close with Franz Schubert’s “Symphony No. 2”, which he composed at a young age. This work, which reveals Franz Schubert’s unique melodic genius, will be an impressive finale for classical music lovers.
