Due to the protocol signed between the universities and the Football Federation of Northern Cyprus, national football athletes, aged below 14, have taken tests at the Near East University Athlete Health and Performance Centre regarding performance and training development.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, tests have been carried out on national football athletes to investigate the athletes’ aptness for individual and team sports, suitability to the position played in matches, programming trainings, the success of the training programme utilized, and the risk of sports injuries.
