"Societies that develop their imagination with art produce more beauty and happiness”
Near East University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ in his opening remarks stated that art puts the creative talents and works of artists into the service of society, develops the understanding of freedom and beauty, reflects the aesthetic aspects of economic, social, political and cultural developments of society throughout history, and that the societies developing their imagination through art produce more beauties and happiness, and share them freely.

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ; "Museums, standing out as a social engineering tool that embodies traces of the past and instills certain values, are institutions that collect, protect, share information and maintain continuity of values, and serve the society and the people living in and around with the materials that witness to the history.

Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts is a unique foundation that brings together artists from many countries, provides freedom in creativity and unites world art in this geography. 1500 artists from abroad have become part of this project. So many artists are also looking forward to taking part in the project.”

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ, "Everybody agrees about the importance of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts project and a new trend in the world has begun, where the project will evolve and how it will be named over time will be determined later."

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said, "The perception of the size of the canvases has changed. In such an atmosphere full of creativity, the emergence of new ideas is very exciting.”

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ continued his speech as follows; "To define it with the expressions of the artists; brush masters make this atmosphere a fairy tale or paradise. They also perceive this as a challenge and ask themselves if they can be better? With the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art Project, all clichés began to be demolished. Previously unknown or unused techniques have been introduced. Artists started to discover themselves again. Size perception of the canvases changed. In such an atmosphere full of creativity, the emergence of new ideas is very exciting and motivating new discoveries.”

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ, at the end of his speech, emphasized that today four solo and one group exhibitions would be opened and congratulated all the artists for putting a brick to the foundation of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts and expressed his gratitude to the architect of this project, Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel.

Bukezhanov; “This project stimulated our creativity and talents and pushed us to new ideas and experiences”
Speaking on behalf of Kazakh artists Kanat Bukezhanov; "On behalf of all Kazakh artists, I would like to thank Suat Günsel, the Founding Rector of Near East University, and your blessed land in general. This project stimulated our creativity and talents and pushed us to discover new ideas and experiences. In addition, being in the same environment and working with artists representing other Turkish peoples has awakened the feeling of our fraternity, friendship bonds, and common roots. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the growth of this project. We will never forget these days."

Sagyndykov to; “This temple of art waits for an extraordinary future”
Kazakh artist Muldir Sagyndykova whose solo exhibition would be opened; “We are pleased to see you all at the opening of our exhibition. First of all, we would like to thank Founding Rector Suat Günsel for inviting us to be a part of this unique and spectacular project on a global scale, not regionally. We hope that after the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts opened, it will exist forever and this temple of art will have an extraordinary future. I wish success to my colleagues and health and happiness to everyone."

Kaboke; "If you're afraid - don't start, if you've started - don't be afraid"
Oralbek Kaboke in his speech said, "I would like to start my speech with the words of Cengiz Khan: If you are afraid - don't start, if you have started - don't be afraid ’. These words have become our kind of slogan. Every day we went to our workshops without wasting time so that we could touch the canvases again and again, and pour the secrets of the paints on them. By attending this symposium, I have crossed the boundaries within me and realized that there is no such thing as impossible. I am sure that the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art will not only be the art center of the Cypriot community or the Turkish world, but its voice will also be heard throughout the world. Everyone knows how a butterfly or bird flies. You can see my flight at this exhibition. Dear Dr. Suat Günsel, once again, thank you very much for your hospitality.”

Zhardemov; “Life is short, art is endless”
Another Kazakh artist Nurbek Zhardemov, whose solo exhibition would be opened, started his speech by greeting the Protocol and the guests; “Culture provides the spiritual nutrition of people. Years and centuries will pass, but then the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts will continue to be a family home that preserves culture and art for future generations. The works we have created are not only our contributions to the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, but also to the culture of our children and grandchildren and to the world art. The land of Cyprus united us, provided us with an atmosphere full of creativity, brought together new friends and offered such an opportunity to contribute to the art world. We are grateful to Suat Günsel. I would like to conclude my speech with the words of a famous philosopher: ’Life is short, art is endless."

Myrzashev; “Let's fly high and shake the world with our creative ideas like the huge nomads of this world.”
Kazakh artist Salimgali Myrzashev said, "When we first arrived, Mr. Günsel told us to fly high and the more we would fly high the more he would help us. And I flew. The modern language of my paintings on the canvas is 2D graphics. I come from the animation field, my size is 3D. I'd like to fly in 3D. In this context, I would like to remind Gumilev's work on passion, nomads and the world. Yeah, I'm a nomad! Gagarin was also a nomad, from Baikonur to distant worlds, searching for new living spaces for all mankind, out of the steppes, and he became a nomad of the modern world ...Great Cengiz Khan! Only his name would shake the world. The Great Silk Road and through it the development and spread of culture were provided. Dear colleagues! Let's fly high and shake the world with our creative ideas such as the huge nomads of this world. I can't say goodbye. I mean, see you soon. Thanks for everything.”

Minister of Economy and Energy Hasan Taçoy; ”Art is more powerful than anything. Continue with the power of art ... ”
Minister of Economy and Energy Hasan Taçoy said that the exhibition to be opened today is different; “Everyone has outdone themselves, and everyone's words are important and beautiful enough to be a story and a book. Everyone came here prepared and the reason for this preparation is, of course, the beauties we see around us. I just found an article in front of me. I read the article, and I took something from him. An article written by one of our artists is really emotional and will surely direct our perspective towards art. He is saying "in this world, we come as guests". I'm not an artist, I can't take the brush in my hand and create such a beauty, maybe I can go on the way to create something in the laws that may put our heads in trouble in my own field from time to time. But we all want to be proud and proud of what we have left behind in this world we are visiting. Today there is actually a picture of pride here. This picture is perhaps an exhibition, but it will evolve into a different place and become a museum. When we think about the museums in many countries of the world, we will see a museum that everyone would like to see once in his life. How to carry such a great wealth of the Near East University to the future and how useful work is done to the country is not a matter of question, but a matter of appreciation. I am sure that many people remember you with the richness you have put forward, with the thought of what Near East University has done for the TRNC, perhaps not only with the Museum of Modern Arts, even more museums will be transformed into the idea of creating all these beauties. Everyone has a life story, I see here that every artist and every thinker really has a life story. I believe that there will be a life story at the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts. Maybe ten years from now, we will see the days that we can enjoy together. Art is more powerful than anything. Continue with the power of art ...”

The artists were presented with awards and certificates of appreciation, and the ribbons of the exhibition were cut.
Following the speeches, the Minister of Economy and Energy Hasan Taçoy presented certificates of appreciation to Abduakhat Muratbayev, Kanat Bukezhanov, Baktygerey Teleubay and İlsuyar Kazakova.
