The Cyprus Museum of Modern Art bids farewell to 2025 with art. The year’s last exhibition will be opened on Friday, December 19th at 4:00 PM in the Günsel Art Museum Exhibition Hall in Günsel Tower, with the participation of Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
The “Fine Arts Year-End Exhibition,” featuring 50 artworks exclusively prepared by artist-academicians from the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and artists from the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art, will be opened by Prime Minister Ünal Üstel on Friday, December 19th at 4:00 PM in the Günsel Art Museum Exhibition Hall in Günsel Tower.
The exhibition, which will be open to the public free of charge until January 6th, will showcase 50 works of art including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and prints.
The 478th exhibition of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, the “Fine Arts Year-End Exhibition,” will be curated by Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün, Rector’s Advisor and Director of the GÜNSEL Art Museum.
Prof. Erdoğan Ergün: “In the last exhibition of 2025, I kindly invite everyone who wants to trace the production and the diversity of expression to come together in the exhibition venue.”
Prof. Erdoğan Ergün, who is curating the exhibition, emphasized that the “Fine Arts Year-End Exhibition” is a comprehensive platform that brings together not only artistic productions but also ways of thinking, inquiries, and perspectives on art with the audience.
Prof. Erdoğan Ergün said, “The works emerging from different disciplines clearly reflect the polyphonic nature and creative courage of contemporary art. This selection, which is the last exhibition of 2025, represents a powerful closing to the intense production process that lasted throughout the year. I kindly invite everyone, who wants to trace the production and the diversity of expression, to come together in this special exhibition venue.” Asvaroğlu, who said, “This is the result of our education-centered approach.” added, “I wholeheartedly congratulate our students, their families who support them at every stage, and our teachers who have worked with dedication.”
