Dome and minarets, gold-colored stainless steel chrome plating, and the stained glass of the Suat Günsel Mosque, prepared by the artists of the Near East University, was also completed.

Founded on the Near East University campus in 2013, the construction process of the Dr. Suat Günsel Mosque is about to be completed. Designed by Near East University’s own architects and engineers, inspired by Ottoman Architecture, the 10 thousand-person Dr. Suat Günsel Mosque, having a capacity of 10 thousand people, also has 62 domes and 6 minarets. The gold-coloured stainless steel chrome plating of the dome and minarets and the stained glass of the 104 windows, made by the artists of the Near East University, have been all been completed.

In the survey, in which 2,215 people participated, 1,344 people (61%) preferred the use of gold-colored stainless steel chrome plating. White stone unique to the island of Cyprus was used on the exterior of the mosque.

Each of the four minarets of the mosque, which has six minarets, is 76.2 meters high and has three balconies. The other two minarets, each 56.45 meters high, have two balconies.
