“Children’s Festival” from Future Classroom Teachers

Prospective teachers studying at the Atatürk Faculty of Education of the Near East University started the April 23 excitement the day before. While the little students had a great time at the “April 23 Children’s Festival” organized at the Near East Primary School, the events attended by children between the ages of 6 and 11 were planned and implemented entirely by the students of the Classroom Teaching Department. Throughout the festival, the children had a great time with enjoyable activities. The fun never slowed down with games such as XOXO, sculpture game, bean bag toss, mini basketball, track, sack race, musical chair grab, bowling and ring toss. In addition, darts, guess box, karaoke, dance, face painting, hand printing and balance games in the event area attracted great attention from the children. The “April 23 Children’s Festival”, coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Köprülü, aimed to contribute not only to the physical development of children, but also to their cognitive, social and emotional development.
