Near East University Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Institute brought together the world’s leading academics and professionals in the fields of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, at the international FoNeS-IoT conference it held, and discussed new technologies that will shape the world of the future.

At the Upcoming Networks and Sustainability in the IoT Age (FoNeS-IoT) conference, which was held as a vision meeting to exchange ideas about the developments in technology, application areas for advanced communication systems and the development of new services, the emerging technologies that pave the way for new fields, services and business models such as pervasive sensing, multimedia sensing, machine learning, deep learning, unmanned aerial vehicles, cloud and edge computing, energy efficiency/harvest and computing power, mobile internet were discussed.

Headed by Prof. Dr. Fadi Al-Turjman, Prof. Dr. Bülent Bilgehan, Prof. Dr. Ali Okatan, Dr. Jawad Rasheed and Dr. Muhammad Fahim chaired the sessions. At the conference, many esteemed academic and professionals such as Prof. Dr. Fadi Al-Turjman, Dr. Auwalu Saleh Mubarak, Chadi Altrjman, Dr. İlker Gelişen, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adedodyn Hussain, Sinem Alturjman, Ahmed Ali Abdelazim, Kena Wang, Guohong Wang, Deng Zhujun, Shuman Li, Sarumi Usman Abidemi made presentations.

112 articles were presented at the conference, which received more than 350 paper applications. Papers presented at FoNeS-IoT 2022 will also be published in the “Lecture Notes on Data Engineering and Communication Technologies (LNDECT)” book series by Springer. The book series will be indexed in the Ei Compendex, Scopus, Inspec, Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI), part of the Web of Science.
