Near East University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences graduation ceremony for the Spring Term of the Academic Year 2016-2017 has been realised at NEU Atatürk Culture and Congress Centre.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel, Nigeria Ambassador, Rector of Near East University Prof. Dr. Ümit Hassan; Deputy Rector of Founding Rector of Near East University Tümer Garip; Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Sadıkoğlu, Representative Dean of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şerife Eyyüpoğlu, Academicians, students and guests attended the graduation ceremony.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şerife Eyyüpoğlu: “Starting to provide its educational services with only 2 departments, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences currently holds 14 Departments and a total of 1800 students”

Making a statement on the matter, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şerife Eyyüpoğlu stated that the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences held young and dynamic academic staff and education programs at European standards. Furthermore, she stated that with this background they were raising graduates who are competent in their fields among peers worldwide. Moreover, she pointed out that the Faculty programs were constantly updated to provide for both the national and international needs and requirements in the relative field.

Making a statement on the matter, Vice Rector of the Near East University Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Sadıkoğlu expressed that 120 students were graduating that day and he made positive remarks to those graduating students.

It was pointed out that subsequent to the above mentioned speeches made at the start of the ceremony, a graduate student Faysal Şerik made a speech on behalf of the graduating doctorate and masters’ students. This was followed by the speech of Umut Karakaşlı who spoke on behalf of the graduating undergraduate students.

One special feature of this graduation ceremony was the show performed by the Azerbaijan Dance Group which received standing ovation.

The ceremony continued with Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel, presenting gold medals alongside the diplomas to students making outstanding achievements in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in the Spring Term of the Academic Year 2016-2017.

The graduation ceremony was expressed to have ended with a tradition; by tossing graduation caps into the air which received a great applause by the guests.
