The opening of the 2023-2024 academic year at Near East University will be held on Monday, October 2, at 09.30, with a ceremony to be held at the Atatürk Culture and Congress Center. At the ceremony, the first lecture of the new term will be given by the artificial intelligence-based academic AI Prof. DUX, developed by the Near East University Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Institute.
AI will become an active part of higher education as the third example in the world, with the courses it will give at the Near East University Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department, together with its artificial intelligence colleagues at MIT and Harvard. AI Prof. DUX will give its first lecture at a public meeting where many guests will attend, from state protocol to academics.
“As Near East University, we are starting a new academic year in which we will continue to push the boundaries of science and technology,” said Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel, and added; “At the Academic Year Opening Ceremony that we will be held on October 2, our artificial intelligence-based academician AI. Prof. DUX will give the first lesson of the academic year and this will go down in history as a first in higher education.”
