The first graduates of GÜNSEL Academy have been placed in the undergraduate and associate degree departments of Near East University with a job guarantee and 100% scholarship at GÜNSEL

13 out of 24 vocational high school students, who completed their first semester of the “My Profession is in My Hands Project” carried out by GÜNSEL with a job guarantee and 100% scholarship at GÜNSEL, enrolled in the undergraduate and associate degree departments of Near East University.

The “My Profession is in My Hands Project” signed between the Near East Enterprises and the TRNC Ministry of National Education, which is based on the completion of the professional experience of senior vocational high school students in the TRNC’s domestic car GÜNSEL, gave its first graduates.

Within the scope of the project, 24 students from Sedat Simavi Vocational High School, Osman Örek Vocational High School and Haydarpaşa Commercial High School participated in the first-semester program carried out by GÜNSEL Academy. 13 out of 24 students who successfully completed a 10-month training and internship period enrolled in the undergraduate and associate degree departments of Near East University with a job guarantee and 100% scholarship at GÜNSEL.

Seven of the 13 students who were entitled to receive a scholarship were registered to the Near East University Vocational School Automotive Technologies Department, four to the Computer Programming Department, and two to the Near East University Engineering Faculty Computer Engineering Department. Students who will continue to work at GÜNSEL during their associate and undergraduate education will have a job guarantee after their graduation.

A multi-faceted development is targeted within the scope of the program.
Students who completed the training and internship program at GÜNSEL actively took part in the development and production of electric cars. Students who complete the My Profession is in My Hands program gained experience in important departments of the production process such as information technologies, harness, battery technologies, drive module design and production, electric vehicles service processes, thermal management, configuration and supply.

In addition to professional competency training, students completed their competence development in a multi-faceted way with teamwork, career management, self-management and psychological awareness trainings. My Profession is in My Hands Project aims to help students become ready for professional life, both socially and psychologically, while supporting their professional development.

Second-semester registration continues
Applications for the second term of the Project, which successfully completed its first term, have been continuing. Students who complete the program, which can be applied by the senior students of vocational high schools in the TRNC, will have the opportunity to study at the Near East University with a full scholarship with the guarantee of a job at GÜNSEL next year.

Stating that they aim to equip the youth of the country with the qualified skills that will shape the future with the Training and Internship program carried out at the GÜNSEL Academy, which was established within the body of GÜNSEL, the domestic and national automobile of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “We aim to enable the final year students of our vocational high schools who have completed our education and internship program to establish a bright future in their own country by providing them with full scholarships from the Near East University and a job guarantee at GÜNSEL.”

Congratulating the students who successfully completed the first semester of the program and placed in the undergraduate and associate degree departments of Near East University with 100% scholarship, Prof. Dr. Günsel invited senior vocational high school students studying in the TRNC to participate in the second term of the My Profession is in My Hands Project.
