Minister Sucuoğlu: “Near East University and TRNC are sharing a common fate...”
Minister of Labor and Social Security Dr. Faiz Sucuoğlu said in his speech that he had forgotten the number of the exhibitions he attended at the Near East University and said that the University had put the achievements made throughout the centuries into a 31 year education period.

Stating that the fate of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the fate of the Near East have been equivalent since its establishment, Minister Sucuoğlu said, "The more the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus develops, the more the Near East University develops and our country develops as the University develops. This is a cycle. Because there is a Günsel family who makes all their investments in the territory of this island although there is a possibility to make their investments in abroad. The greatest meaning lies here. This fate will continue with this land. If these lands will go forward, the University will also develop with the TRNC."

Near East University undertakes an important role in cultural recognition…
Minister Sucuoğlu said that the Near East University is the university that reaches to a target in the most successful and fastest way and that a town has been created in a deserted area. Minister Sucuoğlu said, " The biggest mosque with six minarets, university blocks, construction of a local car production factory, thousands of employees, TUBITAK award-winning lecturers, Nobel Prize-winning people will continue to support the breakthroughs that will carry our country forward. In terms of number and subject in the field of art, with 12 thousand works of art, exhibitions of award-winning artists have reached an unrivaled position in the world. Near East University is successfully progressing by assuming the most important and serious mission of cultural recognition. The values involved in education and health are also a source of pride.”

I would like to emphasize that I have been working on more than 10 years on the exhibition titled “Organic Structures" which we will be opening with you today. Serigraphy printing technique was used in graphic studies. When I finished my work I realized that many symbols are subconscioulsy reflected in my works or as part of the influence of the outside world. I hope the pictures you see today will have a different effect on each of you. I owe a big thanks to Suat Bey, the Founding Rector of the Near East University, who brought us together and gave us the chance to be a part of this great project.
