Having been prepared by the Faculty of Communication of Near East University, the documentary "Söz'ün Son Kadını: Bedia Hanım", which is about the life of the first Turkish Cypriot woman journalist Bedia Okan Göreli, will be screened in London and Izmir. The Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman will also attend the screening of the film in London.

The Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University released that the documentary film that prepared by Associate Professor Fevzi Kasap, Chairman of the Radio, TV and Cinema Department of the Faculty of Communication of Near East University, would meet with the audience with film-screenings to be realized within the frame of the 8th March International Women's Day.

It was stated that the London Representative Office of North Cyprus would organize a panel at Yunus Emre Culture Center in London for the 8th March International Women's Day. The Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman will attend the film screening of the documentary "Söz'ün Son Kadını: Bedia Hanım" to be realized at the panel at Yunus Emre Culture Center in London.

The documentary "Söz'ün Son Kadını: Bedia Hanım" will be screened at the Conference Hall of Izmir Economy University on Thursday night 11 March, 2019.

Within the scope of the event that organized collaboratively by Izmir Economy University and EKOKAM, a causerie will be held after the film screening of the documentary. TRNC Izmir Consul Ipal Emin, Near East University Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, TV and Cinema Chairman Associate Professor Fevzi Kasap, and Izmir Association of Journalists Chairperson Misket Dikmen will attend the event as a speakers.

A Documentary to leave mark in history…
The documentary, which is about the life of the first Turkish Cypriot woman journalist Bedia Okan Göreli, also reflects her father's true experiences and the historical background of Söz Newspaper. In this regard, the documentary stands out as a film to leave mark in history.

NEU Faculty of Communication Departmen of Radio, TV and Cinema Chairman Associate Professor Fevzi Kasap, Ömer Evre and Zeyde Y. Örek are respectively the producer & General Director, Drama Director and the Director of Cinematography of the documentary. While many professional and amateur actors and actresses re-enacted the scenes reflecting historical processes, the voice acting was realized by the famous actor and voice actor Toprak Sergen, Çetin Özen and Özlem Özkaram.
