Along with the choirmaster Emine Kıvanç Öztuğ, the Choir of the Department of Music Teaching of Atatürk Faculty of Education of Near East University will perform a concert consisting of popular songs of SILA 4, Turkish Cypriot folk-rock musical band.

The Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University released that the concert which features the popular songs of SILA 4 would be held at Bellapais Monastery at 20:30 on Monday 3 June, 2019.

Guitarist-concert composer Hakki Cengiz Eren and the pianist Atakan Sarı have rolled up their sleeves to add the popular songs reflecting Turkish Cypriot folk and culture to the choir training repertory. The concert will be realized in the line with this goal. During the concert, the choir will be accompanied by Atakan Sarı and Gözdem İlkay on the piano, Ertem Nalbantoğlu on the violin, Mustafa Özak on the contrabass, Mehmet Sakarya on the flute, Atakan Sarı in classic kemencha, Adil Sönmez in the drum, and Erkan Sülün on classical guitar.

The concert, where the first performances of the songs will be on the stage, will be open to public and free of charge.
