The “2024-2025 World University Rankings” by METU URAP has been officially announced. Near East University, which is among the top 10 Turkish universities worldwide, has also been shown as the best university in Cyprus.
The “2024-2025 World University Rankings” prepared by the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) Research Laboratory operating within the Middle East Technical University (METU) Informatics Institute has been officially announced.
The ranking, which takes into account six basic criteria such as the number of articles, number of citations, total number of scientific documents, total publication impact, total citation impact and international collaborations, evaluated 3,000 universities worldwide. Near East University, which stepped up 40 ranks in the world rankings, was listed among the “Top 10 Turkish Universities”. Near East University, which was the only Cypriot university in the top 1000 in the world, was shown as the best university in the island. Near East University was also listed as one of the “Best Two Turkish Foundation Universities”.
