Following the “Academic Year Opening Ceremony” to be held at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center on Friday, September 20 at 16:00; the “New Academic Year Exhibition” will also be opened by President Ersin Tatar.

The opening of the 2024-2025 academic year at Near East University will be held at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center on Friday, September 20 at 16:00 with the participation of President Ersin Tatar. President Tatar will address the subject of “A New Future for Cyprus: A Two-State Solution” at the opening ceremony, where he will give the first lecture of the new term.

At the 2024-2025 Academic Year Opening Ceremony, the Near East University, which also brings science and art together, will open the “New Academic Year Exhibition” at the Atatürk Culture and Congress Center Exhibition Hall at 17:30 after the opening ceremony. The exhibition, which will be opened by President Ersin Tatar, will bring together the works of academic artists of the Near East University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design and the artists of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts.

Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ: “We are aware of our responsibility to raise the leaders of the future.”

“We are very honored and happy to hold the opening of the 2024-2025 Academic Year with the participation of our President Ersin Tatar,” said Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, and added, “The first lesson, which will address an important perspective on the Cyprus issue, will have a deep meaning for our students and academic staff.”

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ emphasized that Near East University continues to contribute to the social and cultural future of Cyprus in addition to its leadership in education and research, and said, “On this special day when we bring science and art together, the New Academic Year Exhibition will be a reflection of the value we give to art and culture.” Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ expressed his wish by saying “The new academic year will bring success to our university, the scientific community and all our students.”
