Teachers to be equipped with Technological Skills

"Internet Week Activity" was organized by the Near East University, Atatürk Education Faculty, Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Teaching.

According to the information given by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, Ataturk Faculty of Education, the activity was held in Laboratory 1 and the opening speech was given by Prof. Dr. Hakkı Mirici from Atatürk Faculty of Education. Prof. Dr. Mirici introduced the workshops at the beginning of activitiy. Then, students were given the opportunity to make practical presentations. Within the scope of the event, a discussion on the harms and usefulness of technology was made by lecturers and students.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Dean Prof. Dr. Mirici stated that the new generations are growing up in technology era and it is important for teachers to educate these generations, and their aim is educating teachers with the skills addressing their targets. Prof. Dr. Mirici also expressed his opinion and vision about Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Teaching and thanked everyone who contributed to this activity.

Professor Dr. Zehra Altinay; "Activities Sharing Information and Synergies between Students and Academic Staff"
Head of Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Teaching, Prof. Dr. Zehra Altınay, said in her speech that students' contibution and cooperation is of great importance at every stage of the academic activities within the department and added that the sharing between the field and the students and lecturers in the department is increasing. Professor Dr. Altınay emphasized the importance of launching production workshops and establishing academic committees in the evaluation of the projects and technologies produced by students, also saying that they have received successful results. Thus, these academic committees will contribute to the development of students by evaluating the process.
