Dr. Emrah Soykan: "Doctors of future will use the sign language ..."
Dr. Emrah Soykan who contributed to the arrangement of the course pointed out in his speech that the only way to communicate for citizens with disabilities is the sign language, and that the doctors of the future will know the sign language.

He said that communication in the health field is a major problem for hearing-impaired citizens. Soykan said, "Neither the doctor can explain the patient what he wants, nor the the patient can tell about his or her problems to the doctors. The only way to communicate with such patients is the sign language. This course will enable your colleagues to do their profession with this awareness because they will be the doctors of the future and will be able to communicate more easily with a hearing impaired person. One of our biggest goals in organizing the course was to raise awareness. First of all, I would like to thank the Association of Medical Students of the Near East University and my foundation, on behalf of KİKEV, who came to learn the sign language voluntarily and who participated in the course and then organized this course ".
