Short films and documentaries of graduates of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema of the Faculty of Communication of Near East University to meet the viewer on YouTube

The end of the year Film Gala was held traditionally by the Near East University Radio, Television and Cinema Department. The short films and documentaries produced by the senior students of the department within the scope of the graduation project, through which they put the theoretical and practical courses they took in their four-year education process into practice, were presented to the viewers on YouTube.

Graduates of the Near East University Radio, Television and Cinema Department have been making films about the social events of Turkish Cypriot culture, the promotion of the country, the introduction of intellectuals and artists to the younger generations, and similar themes as a graduation project.

Documentaries and short films broadcast on the official YouTube channel of Near East University this year include Yağın Aşık's "The Last Knight of Templos, Ali Nesim", Firuz Aytunç's "Mehmet Aga in Yellow Boots", Tanem Soyadlı's "LTB Women's Shelter", Kemal Yürekli's, “The City of Legends Ülkü Yurdu”, Nedim Enginsoy's “The Master of Our Studio Photography: Deanna”, Türcan Heper's “Golden Black of Cyprus”, Ahmet Celiloğlu's “A Life on Water – SAS” , Tarkan Kavaz's “The Man Whispering Words: Özcan Özcanhan” and Fulya Terlikli's “Can You Die From Insomnia?”.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap: “Our department students who graduated this year have produced more than ten documentaries and short films about the Cypriot vegetation, intellectuals, old professions and traditions.”

Near East University Radio, Television and Cinema Department Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap said that the short films and documentaries that will meet the viewers on the official YouTube channel of Near East University will also be presented to the viewers through the television channels broadcast in the TRNC.
