FEDEK, which accredited the “Psychology” and “Molecular Biology and Genetics” departments of the Near East University Faculty of Arts and Sciences, had also accredited the departments of “History”, “Turkish Language and Literature”, “Mathematics”, “Psychology (English)” and “English Language and Literature” departments of the faculty in 2019.

“Psychology” and “Molecular Biology and Genetics” undergraduate programs of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences were accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teaching Programs of the Faculties of Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Language and History-Geography, which is the only accreditation foundation in the field approved by the Higher Education Council (YÖK)

FEDEK had accredited the departments of “History”, “Turkish Language and Literature”, “Mathematics”, “Psychology (English)” and “English Language and Literature” of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Near East University in 2019. With the completion of the accreditation procedures for the “Psychology” and “Molecular Biology and Genetics” departments, the number of departments accredited by FEDEK in the Near East University Faculty of Arts and Sciences has increased to 7.

What is FEDEK?
FEDEK, the only accreditation foundation in its field recognized by the Higher Education Council (YÖK), carries out accreditation, evaluation and information studies for the curricula of the faculties of Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Language and History-Geography Education Programs.

FEDEK, which was established in 2009 with the aim of increasing the quality of education in the Faculties of Arts and Sciences, improving education, scientific research and service to society, also supports studies in this context by organizing national and international meetings such as courses, seminars, conferences, panels and workshops.

Emphasizing that every university is based on the basic sciences studied in the Faculties of Arts and Sciences, Near East University Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Ali Efdal Özkul said, “As Near East University Faculty of Arts and Sciences, we are delighted that our education quality has been registered by FEDEK, the only accreditation institution approved and recognized by HEC.”

Stating that the number of departments accredited by FEDEK increased to seven with the accreditation of “Psychology” and “Molecular Biology and Genetics” departments in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the beginning of the new education period, Prof. Dr. Özkul said, “The accreditations we have received once again proved the education quality of our Faculty of Arts and Sciences, which is one of the most important parts of the Near East University, which has made its name among the best universities in the world.”
