Produced as one of the film making projects of the Near East University Faculty of Communications Film Production (Film Making Department), Dr. Dilara gets great admiration at the Cannes Film Festival.

Tamer Garip, Director of the Communication Affairs, speaking to the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, said "First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the crew of the film Dr. Dilara, Dr. Suat İ. Günsel, Founding Rector of Near East University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel, Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Near East University, the Near East Family for their invaluable support in realization of the film of Dr. Dilara. Without their support, the film of Dr. Dilara would not be produced. Announcing the name of the Near East University the second time is an invaluable pride for us.

The premiere of the film starring Rushan Ankay (Dr. Dilara Bessano), Cengiz Bozkurt, Ercan Saymen, Buse Kırpala and Pembegül Bayram was held at the Palais H cinema hall.
