Lecturer of the Near East University Faculty of Communication, artist and photographer Gazi Yüksel's solo exhibition titled "Local Arts", consisting of 100 works, will be opened by President Mustafa Akıncı.

According to the press information given by the Near East University Press and Public Relations Directorate, the opening of the photography exhibition titled "Local Arts" will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 at 10:00 pm at the Near East Secondary School Exhibition Hall.The exhibition, which consists of frames which are carefully selected from the archives of Gazi Yüksel depicting scenes from the nature and environment, will be presented to art lovers between the hours of 10.00-12.00 during the week.

Gazi Yüksel: "The exhibition will include the photographic testimony of the details of nature which I have deemed as a natural work of art..."
Speaking of the photo exhibition "Local Arts" Gazi Yüksel said "If we compare the earth to a large canvas, the views that nature creates on this canvas with their own instruments are astonishing and admirable. It is possible to observe the details created by small touches, such as an installation work of nature when viewed from the height of a man. The exhibition includes photographic testimony of these details, which I describe as a work of art created by the nature itself..."
