
Within the scope of the “Internship and Research Exchange Programs” that Near East University is involved in, Polish, Slovakian and Czech students who came to the TRNC completed their projects in the fields of pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical technology and analytical chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy and returned to their countries.
Near East University, which sends its students to all over the world with the “Internship and Research Exchange Programs” that it is involved in, continues to host students from different countries of the world on its campus. Within the scope of the “Internship and Research Exchange Programs” that have been implemented in cooperation with the Pharmacy Students Association of Northern Cyprus (PSANC) operating under the leadership of Near East University Faculty of Pharmacy students and the International Pharmacy Students Federation (IPSF), of which it is a member, Polish, Slovakian and Czech students who came to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus completed their projects in the fields of pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical technology and analytical chemistry and returned to their countries.
Students studying in the well-equipped laboratories of Near East University had the opportunity to socialize with Turkish students and also discovered the TRNC. International students who returned to their countries after completing their one-month research projects at the Near East University Faculty of Pharmacy gained important experiences at the university and the TRNC.
Prof. Dr. İhsan Çalış: “Such international programs increase students’ academic knowledge and experience while enriching their cultural interactions.”
Stating that they send their students to many countries of the world with the international “Internship and Research Exchange Programs” they are a part of, Near East University Faculty of Pharmacy Dean Prof. Dr. İhsan Çalış said, “We had the opportunity to conduct important research with students from Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic that we host at our university within the scope of the same exchange programs.” Stating that such international programs increase students’ academic knowledge and experience while enriching their cultural interactions, Prof. Dr. Çalış said, “As Near East University, we will continue to support such initiatives in order to increase the quality of pharmacy education on a global scale and to bring different perspectives to our campus.”
