
The champion of the Inter-Faculty Volleyball Tournament organized by the Near East University Faculty of Sports Sciences, Recreation Department and the Near East University Department of Health, Culture and Sports was the Faculty of Pharmacy!
The “Inter-Faculty Volleyball Tournament” organized by the Near East University Faculty of Sports Sciences, Recreation Department and the Near East University Department of Health, Culture and Sports, provided an exciting week at the RA25 Sports Hall. At the end of the tournament, the Faculty of Pharmacy won the championship cup in the highly contested final match.
The following faculties participated in the tournament from the 20 faculties of Near East University: Nursing, Arts and Sciences, Health Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Sports Sciences, Dentistry, Engineering, Law and Pharmacy. In the semi-final matches, the Faculties of Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Veterinary Medicine competed fiercely.
In the consolation match, the Faculty of Dentistry defeated its opponent, the Faculty of Nursing, and finished the tournament in third place. In the grand final, the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine faced off. After exciting minutes, the Faculty of Pharmacy defeated its opponent and became the champion.
The athletes and teams that won the Near East University Inter-Faculty Volleyball Tournament received their cups and medals from the Vice President of Near East University Prof. Dr. Umut Aksoy, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Mehtap Tiryakioğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. İhsan Çalış and Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. Deniz Seyrek İntaş.

Prof. Dr. Hakan Atamtürk, who said, “The performance of our students on the field reminded us how important not only competition but also solidarity is in sports.
