Near East University Life Long Education Centre (YABEM) is organising English Courses at 4 different levels which are to initiate in the Spring Term of the Academic Term 2017-2018.
As part of the Near East University Life Long Education Centre Short Term Education Programs, 4 different levels of English Certificate Programs are to be initiated for the Spring Term of the Academic year 2017-2018. Through the cooperation between Near East University Life Long Education Centre (YABEM) and NEU English Preparatory School, four different levels of English Courses will be starting on 20th February and will last throughout the Spring Term. The four levels of English courses are streamed as Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Upper – Intermediate. The courses will be held on Tuesdays-Thursdays and Wednesdays-Fridays at NEU Atatürk Faculty of Education at 18:00.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Near East University Life Long Education Centre is organising English Language Courses as certificate programs so as to provide individuals basics of language learning, developing their four language skills (reading-writing-speaking-listening) and application opportunities. |International course books will be utilized and the courses will be completed over 96 hours; which will be completed throughout the Spring Term of the Academic Term 2017-2018. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be awarded with certificates by NEU Life Long Education Centre.

Sayman: “In accordance with the International Quality standards, our University has began Blended Education”.
Making a statement on the matter, Head of Near East University English Preparatory School Enis Sayman expressed that Near East University has been working and providing opportunities regarding teaching and learning English language at international standards.

He said: “As Near East University English Preparatory School we are a member of the IATEFL- International Association of Teaching English as a Foreign Language and each year, we provide educational services to students coming from different parts of the world. Furthermore, we achieved our accreditation from Pearson Edexcel in the same academic year as we started preparations; 2013-2014. Therefore, on 4th August 2014, we have officially got our international recognition regarding the quality and standard of educational services we provide within the field of English language teaching. Since then, we are continuing to work hard to provide the best educational opportunities to our students; whether this be through the university faculties or be through NEU Life Long Education Centre”.

Koldaş: “We prioritise providing education at international standards via contemporary pedagogical approaches!”
Head of Near East University Life Long Education Centre, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Koldaş, stated that as a language which is most commonly used around the world, the quality and standard at which English language is taught was significant. In this regard, he emphasised the importance of providing English language learning opportunities at these standards via most contemporary pedagogical approaches. He further explained that the 4 different language courses offered with the assistance of the NEU English Preparatory School was designed in different levels to be suitable for everyday use of the language to professional use. He ended his words by emphasising his belief that these programs are to be beneficial for both individual and professional development of the participants.
