Once again, 1 in every 3 students chose to study at Near East University via the Additional Placement of External Transfer Exam

According to the results of the additional placement external transfer exam, 195 students chose to study at Near East University, making the university the most preferred university to study in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

According to the press info release from the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, a total of 521 students were placed into the universities in the TRNC, of which 195 preferred to study at Near East University (NEU). Furthermore, according to this years’ results of the External Transfer Exam, Additional Placement Exam of External Transfer Exam and student selection and placement exam (ÖSYM-LYS), Near East University has been the most preferred university to study at the TRNC.

One third of the students who chose to study at the TRNC made their preference to study at the Near East University…

Additional Placement Exam results of the External Transfer Exam indicate that a total of 521 students chose to study at the TRNC Universities. From these, 195 students chose to study at the Near East University, placing the NEU at the top of the list of preferred university; followed by 101 students to study at Girne American University; 83 at Cyprus International University; 74 at Eastern Mediterranean University; 34 at University of Kyrenia; 30 at European University of Lefke; and 4 students to study at University of Mediterranean Karpasia.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel, expressed how pleased they were regarding the number of students which chose to study at the NEU and added that NEU had made its mark not only in the field of education but also in sports; innovation, scientific research; health services; communal history and museology. Further to the above, he expressed that they were proud and highly aware of the responsibility of being the most preferred university to study in the TRNC. He reminded that the TRNC was renown as an island of universities and that they, as the NEU, were going to continue to work hard to pay their due as one of the most preferred university on the island.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Günsel added that the fact that one in every three students who chose to study in TRNC chose Near East University was due to the quality of education provided at the NEU and due to being valued by the students. He concluded that as the “Near East Family” they assured to provide best educational opportunities for the students who chose to study at their university, congratulated the students for their achievements and wished them the best of luck throughout their educational lives.
