President Sencer Solakoğlu and Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş also attended the veterinary students’ lecture. Sencer Solakoğlu, who is also one of Turkey’s largest animal breeders, carried out an interview with the students about animal health, animal husbandry policies, and innovations in the sector.

Tested GÜNSEL B9

Another stop of the visit was TRNC’s domestic automobile GÜNSEL. President Sencer Solakoğlu took a test drive of GÜNSEL’s first model, the B9. In addition to the scientific studies at Near East University, President Sencer Solakoğlu also received information about the art, science and technology projects carried out on the campus and visited the Cyprus Car Museum. During his visit to the museum, President Sencer Solakoğlu examined rare collections and old car models reflecting the automobile history of Cyprus and received information about the century-old collections that shed light on the history of the automobile world.

Sencer Solakoğlu: “A successful veterinary practice is very important to be able to take risks, use new technologies such as artificial intelligence, perform data analysis and integrate modern systems into the process.”

TÜSEDAD President Sencer Solakoğlu, who attended the veterinary medicine students’ lectures, emphasized the opportunities offered by Near East University and said to the students, “You are very lucky to receive education at such a university.” Emphasizing that veterinarians should also update themselves in accordance with the new conditions, Solakoğlu explained with examples that they use artificial intelligence-supported applications and various programs on three of his farms. Solakoğlu, who emphasized that scientific data has been archived on their farms for many years, stated that they have made various comparisons thanks to artificial intelligence.

Stating that veterinary medicine is no longer based solely on theoretical knowledge or pharmaceutical science, Solakoğlu emphasized that innovative technologies and scientific data should be analyzed effectively. President Solakoğlu said, “In my opinion, it is not enough to have a diploma for a successful veterinary practice; it is also of great importance to be able to take risks, use new technologies such as artificial intelligence, perform data analysis and integrate modern systems into the operation.”
