Near East University will be represented with 2 presentations at ECCMID 2016, which is considered the most prestigious congress of Europe on clinical microbiology and infectious diseases

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of NEU (Near East University Nicosia, Cyprus), the 26th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) will be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands on April 9-12, 2016. The congress will provide platform for keynote lectures, symposiums, educational workshops and meet-the-expert sessions covering the entire field of infectious diseases and clinical microbiology. The Near East University will be represented at ECCMID with two research studies.

“Naturally developing Hepatitis B virus (HBV) polymerase (pol) gene mutation in Northern Cyprus” is a research study that conducted by Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, Dr. Ayşe Arıkan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kaya Süer, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Sayan, Prof. Dr. Sinem Akçalı and Dr. Meryem Güvenir. “‘High genetic diversity among Stenotrophomonas maltophilia isolates from single hospital genotyping profile change during subcultures’ is another research study that conducted by Prof. Dr. Barış Otlu, Dr. Meryem Güvenir, Prof. Dr. Nedim Çakır, Dr. Emine Tunç, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kaya Süer. Near East University will be represented at ECCMID 2016 with 2 scholarly articles on these two research studies.

More than 10.000 professionals from 112 countries are estimated to participate in ECCMID 2016 which is considered as the most comprehensive international congress on clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. More than 3000 peer reviewed articles will be presented at the Congress which will cover the topics of Biosciences, Microbiology, Medical, Pathology, Health Care, Clinical Research and Infectious Diseases…..
