In the “Best Global Universities 2024-2025 / Best Global Universities Rankings 2024-2025” ranking published by the US News & World Report, Near East University was shown as the best in the TRNC and the 7th best university in Turkey. Near East University also became the university with the highest number of rankings in the TRNC in 6 categories in which it ranked first in all of them.

The “Best Global Universities 2024-2025” ranking, which determines the best universities in the world by the US-based US News & World Report, known for its “best” rankings published in many fields from education to health, automotive to tourism, has been announced.

In the list published by the US News & World Report, Near East University was shown as the best university in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and ranked 7th in Turkey. In addition to the general ranking, Near East University is also ranked as the best in the TRNC in the fields of “Electrical and Electronics Engineering”, “Engineering”, “Environment and Ecology”, “Physics”, “Chemistry” and “Computer Science”.

One of the most important aspects of the published list is that the US News & World Report creates it directly with the criteria determined by itself without any application.

Near East University is the top university in the TRNC and the 7th best university in Turkey!

Near East University is 689th in the list of 2,271 universities around the world. It ranked first in the TRNC and seventh in Turkey. Additionally, it was ranked 194th among the best universities in Asia and 260th among the best universities in Europe.

In the ranking of the world’s well-established universities, Near East University is ranked 308th worldwide in the field of “Electrical and Electronics Engineering”, 349th in the field of “Engineering”, 384th in the field of “Environment and Ecology”, 529th in the field of “Physics”, ” and ranked 550th in the field of “Chemistry” and 631st in the field of “Computer Science”.

Reminding that Near East University is shown among the best universities in the world by many higher education rating organizations such as Times Higher Education, METU URAP and Shanghai Ranking, Near East Enterprises Board of Trustees Chairman Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel stated that they were happy to repeat the same success in the “Best Global Universities 2024-2025” ranking published by the USA-based US News & World Report. Prof. Dr. Günsel said, “This success is a result of the importance our university attaches to scientific research, innovation and education.”
