Near East University Tourism and Hotel Management is raising individuals at world standard for an industry without chimney

Head of School of Tourism and Hotel Management of Near East University, Prof. Dr. Tülen Saner stated that they were providing contemporary educational programs, both in Turkish and English, in order to raise future managers and academicians at international standards; so as to meet the demands of the sector.

Saner further explained that within the body of the School of Tourism and hotel Management, they had YÖK (higher education board of Turkey) and YÖDAK (higher education board of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus) accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs running since the Fall Term of 215-2016 and that this had made a great contribution to the tourism sector.

With regards to the above mentioned programs, Tülen Saner further asserted that they were raising individuals with competencies and skills (including analytical and objective thinking skills) required for the sector via the highly competent academic staff, alongside the managing authority of the School; working with a strong team spirit.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, School of Tourism and Hotel Management of Near East University facilitates education at associate degree, undergraduate and postgraduate degree.

Head of School of Tourism and Hotel Management Prof. Dr. Tülen Saner explained that they raised intermediate staff for the sector through the associate degree program whereas via the undergraduate program which includes both theoretical and practical modules they raised competent individuals suitable to meet the needs of the tourism sector. Moreover, she further explained that the postgraduate program they ran help to raise individuals that are to conduct academic research and thus carry out scientific research to meet the needs of the tourism sector.

The language of instruction is available in English, Russian, German, Italian, French and in Arabic…

In addition to the above, Prof. Dr. Tülen Saner stated that the students of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management of Near East University had the opportunity to undertake their studies in English, Russian, German, Italian, French and in Arabic.

Furthermore, she stated that the School provided the chance for students to be equip themselves with the necessary skills and competencies at a fully equipped laboratory, and in contemporary accommodation and travelling conditions. She emphasized that the students had practical education and training to get experience in the NEU Hotel, Dorana Hotel, alongside M/Y Teal Vessel, at teaching staff’s restaurant and all other restaurants and cafeterias on Near East University campus. Besides, the NEU also owns a travel agency which is also used for the practical experience needs of the students. Over and above, these locations are also possible destinations for the School of Tourism and Hotel Management of NEU to pick up their careers.
