A breast cancer awareness event was held in cooperation with the Near East University Vocational School Hair Care and Beauty Services Department and the Association for Aiding Cancer Patients. Near East University students provided hair, hand, foot, nail and skin care to women fighting cancer.

The event was attended by Raziye Kocaismail, President of the Association for Aiding Cancer Patients, and Dr. Nil Ergün Eledağ, the chief physician of hospitals, also attended.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Üstün Aksoy: “Fighting breast cancer can only be possible by raising awareness.”
Near East University Vocational School Head of Hair Care and Beauty Services Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Üstün Aksoy said that they aim to raise awareness about breast cancer in society while making the women struggling with breast cancer happy with the activities they carry out. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aksoy said, “The fight against breast cancer can only be possible by raising awareness.” Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Üstün Aksoy emphasized that such activities improve the students’ conscientious feelings as well as their professionalism.

Raziye Kocaismail, President of the Association for Aiding Cancer Patients, emphasized the difficulty of achieving success in cancer treatment alone and emphasized the importance of sensitivity, love and morale in cancer treatment. Kocaismail said, “I would like to thank the Head of the Near East University Vocational School Hair Care and Beauty Services Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Üstün Aksoy and her students.”

Kocaismail also expressed her gratitude to the Chief Physician of Hospitals, Dr. Ergün Eledağ.
