Near East University Students Provide Morale Support to Women Battling Cancer

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Near East University students provided hair, hand, foot, nail, and skin care to women battling cancer, boosting their morale.
A meaningful awareness event was held in collaboration with the Hair Care and Beauty Services Department of the Near East University Vocational School and the Cancer Patients Aid Association for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During the event, students provided hair, hand, foot, nail, and skin care to support and provide moral support to women battling cancer.

The event boosted the morale of women undergoing cancer treatment and fostered awareness among students. The hair and skin care services, hand and foot massages, and nail care provided during the event boosted the morale of patients and strengthened the university students’ sense of social responsibility.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Üstün: “There is nothing that cannot be overcome with love.”
Highlighting the healing power of morale and love, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Üstün said, “We stand with individuals battling cancer, not only during awareness month, but always. Because we know that morale and love are the most powerful medicine.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeşim Üstün stated that her students, through such social responsibility activities, not only develop their professional skills but also deeply understand the value of reaching out to others. She added, “We have seen once again how beauty is not just in appearance, but how it shines when combined with an inner love and strength. Let us not forget: there is nothing that cannot be overcome with love.”
