Near East University Robotic Football Team won a triumph over its first opponent at RoboCup 2019, Georgia Institute of Technology, with a score of 3-0.
The Near East University Robotic Football Team began the match with a fast tempo and towards the middle of the first half of the match, scored a goal from about 6 metres, which was considered void. Later, although the team increased the number of attacks, the first half ended without goals.
Then, the starting goal of the second half was done by Near East University Robotic Football Team and with a quick organisation, and 5 seconds after the start whistle, it scored its first goal. Then, Near East University Robotic Football Team did not allow room for a counterattack by its opponent and towards the middle of the second half of the game, it scored its second goal, making the score 2-0. Throughout the match, the Near East University Robotic Football Team dominated the game and just 10 seconds before the match ended, it scored its third goal from almost 7 metres distance. This resulted as 3-0, making the Near East University Robotic Football Team the winner of its first match at the RoboCup 2019.

In the same group, a match was held between Canadian Team- University of British Columbia and Japanese Team- National Technology Institute, which resulted with the triumph of Canadian team with a score of 1-0.
Furthermore, Near East University Robotic Football Team will be playing its second game with Japanese team. It was pointed out that Near East University won the game as 4-1 in the friendly match which was played with this team the day before the tournament started.
Subsequent to the first matches held in the tournament, Near East University Robotic Football team is positioned as first in its group.
