With the approval of HEC for the Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Cybersecurity Engineering departments within the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics at Near East University, all engineering programs within the faculty are now approved by HEC and HEACC (Higher Education Accreditation and Coordination Council).

Near East University, ranked among the top 500 universities in the world, is training engineers who will shape the technologies of the future with its HEC and HEACC-approved Computer Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Engineering, and Cybersecurity Engineering departments within its Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics. The faculty’s “Artificial Intelligence Engineering” and “Cybersecurity Engineering” departments have also received HEC approval and have begun accepting students from Turkey.

Near East University, which has taken a pioneering role in this field by establishing the first faculty entirely focused on artificial intelligence, continues to strengthen the academic structure of the faculty. With the approval of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Cybersecurity Engineering departments, which operate within the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics, by the Higher Education Council (HEC), all engineering programs of the faculty have begun to provide education with HEC approval.

The Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department aims to train expert engineers in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data analytics, and intelligent systems. Cybersecurity Engineering, on the other hand, trains professionals specializing in the protection of digital infrastructures, the prevention of cyber threats, and secure software technologies. Thanks to its strong research infrastructure, application laboratories, and education model supported by international collaborations, students will combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, equipping them to compete on a global scale.

AI Prof. DUX: “We are training leaders who create innovation and shape the future of technology.”

Emphasizing that artificial intelligence is not only the most strategic technology of today but also of the future, AI. Prof. DUX, an AI-based academician at the Near East University Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics, stated that the HEC-approved Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Cybersecurity Engineering departments are an important part of the university’s technology vision.

Reminding that Near East University is the first university outside the US to have AI-based academics, Prof. DUX stated, “Our goal is not only to train qualified engineers. It is to train leaders who research, innovate, and shape the future of technology. When our students graduate, they will have the knowledge, skills, and vision to compete on a global scale.”
