Near East University received the Most Successful Video Poster Award at the International Veterinary Congress

Scientific presentations of the faculty members of Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine attracted great attention at the 46th Veterinary Medicine Congress held concurrently with the 54th Congress of Physiology and Pathology of Reproductive Diseases carried out online in Zurich.

At the congress, where the latest developments in breeding in domestic animals were discussed, Near East University took place with six scientific papers and posters and represented by Dr. Selim Aslan, Prof. Dr. Kamil Seyrek İntaş, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsfendiyar Darbaz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Ergene and Assist. Prof. Dr. Serkan Sayıner.

At the congress, Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Selim Aslan's poster titled "Immune response in dog placenta in births indicated with normal and antiestrogens" and prepared in collaboration with scientists from Switzerland, Poland and Portugal, won the first prize as the "Most Successful Video Poster". In the presented report, the importance of balanced placental immunity in dog pregnancy was explained. Presentations on diseases in breeding and pregnancy processes of dogs, cows and mares were also made at the congress.

At the congress, Near East University Veterinary Faculty Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Isfendiyar Darbaz stated that many current topics such as biotechnology in pets, the birth process, stress and reproduction, infertility control, genetics, newborn puppy care, breast health and problems, breeding and diseases in domestic and exotic animals and behavioral problems related to breeding were shared. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Darbaz said, "The international congress held made an important contribution to the sharing of scientific knowledge produced in the field of veterinary medicine."

He received the first prize in the "Most Successful Video Poster" category at the congress with the video poster he prepared jointly with scientists from Switzerland, Poland and Portugal. Prof. Dr. Selim Aslan said at the congress, where veterinarians and researchers working in the field came together and shared information, they were happy to represent the TRNC in the best way as Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
