Near East University ranked among the world’s top 500 universities in four of the seven fields in the US News & World Report “Best Global Universities 2025-2026” rankings, where it was ranked as the sixth-best Turkish university.

Near East University, ranked as the best university in Cyprus and the sixth-best in Turkey in the “Best Global Universities 2025-2026” rankings published by the American US News & World Report, also ranked among the world’s top 500 universities in the fields of “Engineering,” “Electrical and Electronic Engineering,” “Environment/Ecology,” and “Physics.”

Near East University also stands out with its ranking among the world’s top universities in seven fields. Near East University, ranked among the world’s top 500 universities in four of these fields, is ranked 323rd globally in Engineering, 338th in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 472nd in Environment and Ecology, 468th in Physics, 615th in Computer Science, 807th in Chemistry, and 946th in Clinical Medicine. Near East University is also ranked the best university in Northern Cyprus in six of these seven fields.

Near East University Among the World’s Best Universities

Near East University, a leading institution of higher education in the world with its studies and research in a wide range of fields from education and science to health and technology, ranked 681st globally and 197th in Asia in the “Best Global Universities 2025-2026” rankings published by the American US News & World Report. Near East University, ranked as the best university in Cyprus, also ranked 6th among Turkish universities.

Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises, emphasized that their success on the “Best Global Universities” list announced by US News & World Report is not merely a ranking achievement but also the result of the vision they have demonstrated in education, research, and social contribution.
