Near East University Health Operations Research Center will provide voluntary artificial intelligence and coding training to children and youth who receive training at SOS Child Village Association within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed with SOS Child Village Association.

The Health Operations Research Center, which continues its activities as part of the Near East University Center of Excellence, carries out studies in a wide range from determining which medicine is suitable for which patient to the selection of devices to be used in hospitals by applying the multiple decision-making model with the support of artificial intelligence to many health-related processes. In addition to the scientific studies it carries out, the Health Operations Research Center, which is also involved in social responsibility projects within the framework of the founding vision of the Near East University, provides voluntary artificial intelligence and coding training as well as foreign language training for children and young people receiving education at the SOS Children’s Village Association within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed between the parties.

The cooperation protocol was signed by Near East University Health Operations Research Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilber Uzun Özşahin and SOS Children’s Village Association Program Manager Ahmet Akarsu. Near East University Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, SOS Children’s Village Association Corporate Communication Coordinator Simge Özkan and SOS Children’s Village Association trainer Bora Liman also attended the protocol signing ceremony.

Near East University Health Operations Research Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilber Uzun Özşahin emphasized that the fields of artificial intelligence, coding, foreign language and mathematics constitute the basic building blocks of our age for the development of children, adding that the experienced experts of the Near East University Health Operations Research Center will voluntarily give training at the SOS Children’s Village Association.

Stating that they will continue to contribute to public health with their scientific research and projects, Assoc. Prof.Dr. Dilber Uzun Özşahin said, “We aim to increase the social benefit we produce with the social responsibility projects we take part in while continuing our scientific studies.”
