Near East University Lifelong Education Center organized vocational training days in cooperation with the TRNC Police General Directorate

Many topics were discussed in three separate programs in the “Police Director/Assistant Director, Police Inspector and Assistant Police Inspector Special Training Curriculum” organized within the scope of the cooperation of Near East University Lifelong Education Center (YABEM) and TRNC General Directorate of Police.

Near East University Lifelong Education Center (YABEM), which has been offering a wide range of educational opportunities since the day it was established, continues its education programs supported by its expert instructor staff and modern education technologies. YABEM, which encourages increasing social participation and continuous learning by contributing to the personal and professional development of individuals, carried out the “Special Training Course Program for Police Chief/Assistant Director, Police Inspector and Assistant Police Inspector” in cooperation with the TRNC General Directorate of Police.

During the vocational training days held in three separate programs topics such as “Meeting and Time Management”, “Communication with the Media”, “Social Skills Development and Problem Solving”, “Public Relations and Communication”, “Strategic Planning and Management”, “Leadership and Teamwork”, “Crisis and Risk Management”, “Document Management”, “Professional Ethics”, “Strategic Human Resources Management”, “Human Resources Management and Functions”, “Manager Ethics” and “Social Ethics” were discussed.

From Near East University faculty members; Prof. Dr. Nesrin Menemenci, Prof. Dr. Behçet Öznacar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Dolunay, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ertugan, Assist. Prof. Dr. Tijen Zeybek, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Gözde Koyuncu, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Baykan and Dr. Sıla Gürler shared information on many topics throughout their presentations.

Emphasizing that the concept of lifelong education has a fundamental role in the professional and personal development of individuals, Near East University Lifelong Education Center (YABEM) Director Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Hürsen said, “Rapidly changing world conditions and technological advances direct individuals to constantly learn and improve themselves. Lifelong education offers opportunities not only to young individuals but also to people of all ages and professions to keep up with changes and gain new skills.”

“Lifelong education not only provides them with professional skills, but also provides them with the opportunity to improve their quality of life by contributing to their personal development,” said Prof. Dr. Hürsen and added, “As Near East University Lifelong Education Center, we make great added value with the collaborations we have developed with many institutions in our country and the education programs we continue. The vocational training days we completed at the General Directorate of Police were very productive in this respect.”
