Near East University, which is authorized and certified as an "Occupational Health and Safety Training Institution" by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, is launching an "OHS Trainer's Training Course" for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) experts.

The "Occupational Health and Safety Trainer's Training Course" to be given by the Near East University Occupational Health and Safety Institute will be held between 1-17 November 2021. The application deadline for the training, which will last 40 hours in total, will end on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, after the end of the working day.

With the course to be organized, it is aimed to improve the training skills of OHS specialists and to help the employees in the businesses where they work to carry out the OHS trainings in the best possible way. Throughout the program, examples of occupational health and safety and, in particular, examples that will be arranged according to the needs in the workplaces of the course participants will be studied. In the course, where interactive methods will be used, practice guides for occupational health and safety skills will also be created.

Within the scope of Occupational Health and Safety trainings carried out by the Near East University Occupational Health and Safety Institute, trainings are given on four basic subjects, namely “Basic Occupational Health and Safety Training”, “General Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Training”, “Construction Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Training”, and “Certificate Renewal Occupational Health Training".

Stating that they organize occupational health and safety trainings in order to train qualified staff in the field of occupational health and safety and to ensure that these staff serve in the best possible way in their workplaces, Near East University Occupational Health and Safety Program Manager Aziz Gürpınar stated that trainers should constantly improve their competencies for a quality training.

Stating that the training of trainers helps trainers to acquire the skills they need to provide an effective training, Gürpınar said, “Occupational health and safety trainers, who are instrumental in creating a valuable culture on occupational health and safety at work, should be able to carry out all training processes by using their training skills effectively.”
