The 2024 YKS results have been announced. Near East University, where 2,631 students were placed, has become the most preferred university in Northern Cyprus for the 9th time consecutively!

The Center for Assessment, Selection and Placement (ÖSYM) has announced the placement results of the 2024 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS), which hundreds of thousands of students have been eagerly waiting for. Near East University, where 2,631 students were placed, has become the most preferred university in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus for the 9th time consecutively! According to the results, the number of students placed in the TRNC universities has reached 12,180.

Registration procedures, which must be completed between August 19 – 23, can be carried out at the Near East University campus in Lefkoşa, as well as in Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Istanbul, Izmir, Hatay, Mardin, Gaziantep, Samsun, Şanlıurfa and Van.

Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ: “This success is a result of our strong infrastructure in education, our qualified teaching staff and the opportunities we offer to our students.”

Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, who commented on the 2024 YKS placement results, said that it was a great pleasure that over 12 thousand students preferred universities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said, “Near East University maintained this title as the most preferred university in Northern Cyprus for the 9th time consecutively this year, too. This success is a result of our strong infrastructure in education, our qualified teaching staff and the opportunities we offer to our students.”

Addressing the students who had the right to enroll in Near East University, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ said, “Welcome to the Near East Family. I wish you a successful academic year full of joy.” Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ reminded that the registration procedures, which must be carried out between August 19 and 23, can be carried out at the Near East University campus as well as at the representative offices of university in Turkey.
