Near East University is among the top 400 most influential universities in the world!

Near East University was ranked in the 301-400 band among the world’s most influential universities in the “2024 World University Impact Rankings” by Times Higher Education, which assessed universities from 125 countries. With this result, Near East University, which was placed in the 5th place in Turkey, was shown as the most influential university in TRNC!

London-based Times Higher Education, one of the most important rating organizations followed in the field of higher education all over the world, announced the “2024 World University Impact Rankings”. The research assessed the contributions of world universities to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Near East University was ranked in the 301-400 band among the world’s most influential universities in the “2024 World University Impact Rankings”, where Times Higher Education assessed universities from 125 countries. In addition, Near East University, which ranks 38th in the world in terms of education quality, is in the top 200 in the world in the categories of “Sustainable Cities and Societies” and “Partnerships for Goals”; In the top 300 in the “Gender Equality” category; and ranked in the top 400 worldwide in the “Health and Welfare” category.


Near East University ranks 38th worldwide in education quality!

Near East University, ranked 139th in the world in the list of the world’s best universities under 50 years of age, as published by Times Higher Education last month, climbed eight steps in education quality compared to last year in the “2024 World Universities Impact Ranking” announced by the same institution today, and ranked 38th. Near East University is in the top 200 worldwide in the “Sustainable Cities and Societies” category, which lists the universities that contribute the most to their region, society and the world with their pioneering work in the development of art and social heritage, and in the “Partnerships for Goals” categories, where national and international collaborations are assessed.

Near East University, with a rate of 62 percent of female employees in administrative and academic fields, is among the top 300 universities in the world in the “Gender Equality” category and among the top 400 universities in the world in the “Health and Welfare” category.

Making a statement regarding Near East University being among the top 400 most influential universities in the world, Near East Enterprises Board of Trustees Chairman Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel said, “Taking responsibility for building a sustainable world and future is one of the primary responsibilities of universities.” Prof. Dr. Günsel also said that Near East University has achieved a significant increase in the “2024 World University Impact Rankings” announced by Times Higher Education today, compared to the previous year.
