Near East University, with its expansive campus and rich cultural opportunities, welcomes new students with Orientation Days and a Museum Tour.

Near East University is welcoming new students entering university life in the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year with a comprehensive program. “Orientation Days,” organized by the Near East University Dean of Students’ Office, will begin on Friday, October 3rd. Students will gain valuable insights into academic life and have the opportunity to experience the campus’s social and cultural riches.

The first step of the program will be a campus tour, where students will become familiar with the university’s key landmarks. Students will be introduced to key facilities such as the Innovation and Information Technologies Center, the Grand Library, the Olympic-sized Swimming Pool, and the Near East University Hospital.

A Cultural Journey with a Museum Tour

One of the most exciting parts of the orientation process will be the “Museum Tour,” which will be held on October 17th. During this program, students will visit the Cyprus Car Museum, Herbarium and Natural History Museum, the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art, and the Walled City Museum at the Kyrenia Gate in Nicosia. At the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art, students will discover nearly 50,000 works made by approximately 3,000 artists from 14 Turkish communities. In addition to sculptures and paintings, collections of knives and swords, ship models, handmade glassware, clothing, jewelry, and objects from various periods can be seen under one roof.

The Cyprus Car Museum, located opposite the Cyprus Museum of Modern Art, will open the doors to the fascinating world of automobile history. At the Walled City Museum, students will discover historical and cultural heritage spanning from the Ottoman period to the present day. The museum, which exhibits over 3,000 artifacts, includes a toy car collection, examples of swords and knives, hyperrealistic silicone sculptures of iconic figures of Turkish Cypriot culture, Karagöz figures, and objects related to maritime history.
