Making a difference in health services with its state-of-the-art equipment and expert physician staff, the Near East University Hospital has once more proved the quality of its cuisine, which serves its guests, their attendants, employees and medical school students, with the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System Certificate. Aiming to ensure the sustainability of service quality, Near East University Hospital has certified all processes in the hospital kitchen with ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Certificate during the audits carried out by FQC (First Quality Certification) Global Certification.

ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System aims to provide safety conditions with the controls made during the purchase, storage, preparation, production, presentation and consumption of food, and to prevent threats to food safety with the measures taken.

The certification process, which started on April 5, 2023, was completed on July 5, 2023. Within the scope of the project carried out by the food safety team leader and supported by the head dietitian, various trainings were given to the kitchen staff. The project was successfully completed as a result of joint work carried out by the nutrition and dietetics, purchasing, technical support services and external services departments under the coordination of the food safety team leader and the head chef.


Near East University Hospital Kitchen serves 1,500 people a day
The kitchen of the Near East University Hospital, which serves the employees and students, as well as the patients and their companions reaching up to 1,500 people a day, is run by a team consisting of 33 members, including the food safety team leader, dietitian, chef, assistant cook, waiter, service personnel, dishwasher, warehouseman, cleaning staff and cashier.

Providing the balance of taste and quality with food safety in kitchen services, Near East University Hospital aims to provide a sustainable service quality by harmonizing food safety management with technological and global changes with the system established during the certification process.
