Near East University Health Services Vocational School graduates received their diplomas at the ceremony held at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center

The graduates of the 2021-2022 academic year spring semester of the Near East University Health Services Vocational School received their diplomas at the ceremony held at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center. At the ceremony attended by many lecturers and guests, Near East University Dance School students also performed a dance show.

At the ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, Near East University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, Director of Near East University Vocational School of Health Services, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslı Aykaç and on behalf of all the graduates, Bahri Efecan Nazlı, the top graduate student of the department, delivered speeches.

After the speeches, accompanied by Near East University Health Services Vocational School Director Assoc. Dr. Aslı Aykaç, graduates who received their diplomas took the professional oath and threw their caps up.


Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt: “The heart of a healthcare professional is full of love for people and life.”
Starting his speech at the ceremony by emphasizing the importance of health, Near East University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt said “Health is the greatest asset that a nation, perhaps the whole of humanity, can have,

Stating that health workers have a great role to protect health, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt said “Health worker works for the health of the patient and the community before himself. Subjectivity is always secondary. When he serves, he becomes happy and peaceful. He is careful and attentive because he knows that the mistake may not be reversible. Knows the multidimensional evaluation of cases. He is an inquisitive and researcher. He is aware that cooperation is the most important feature of his profession. Knows the positive contribution of empathy. Beyond all this, the heart of the healthcare worker is full of love for people and life.”


Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslı Aykaç: “The deep-rooted past and strong future energy which you have inherited from the Near East University will carry you forward.”
Near East University Health Services Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslı Aykaç, referring to the importance of health personnel, said, “In the provision of modern and high-quality health services, the presence of qualified health personnel is equally important as well as equipped and experienced physician staff.”

Stating that graduate students go through an intense education process, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslı Aykaç said, “All of our graduates were determined, worked hard and improved their professional experience by successfully completing their internship that lasted 12,700 hours of theory, 6,000 hours of practical practice, and then 35 days of internships.

Addressing the graduate students, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aykaç said, “A period of your life is ending and you are starting a new period with the power you get from it. I am sure that the deep-rooted past and strong future energy which you have inherited from the Near East University will carry you further. Do not forget for a moment that the main theme of your profession is people. While performing your profession, always be understanding and compassionate towards your patients. Always respect your patients’ privacy. Do not deviate from the truths taught to you in your working life. I believe that you will become a sought-after health technician with your experience that will increase with each passing day and that you will always make your family, us and the Near East University proud.”


Bahri Efecan Nazlı: “What makes us strong against life is not our diplomas, but the knowledge and skills we fill behind our diplomas.”
Bahri Efecan Nazlı, the top graduate of Near East University Health Services Vocational School, started his speech on behalf of all graduates by expressing his happiness and excitement.

Bahri Efecan Nazlı, who said that he gained great friendships during his education, said, “For me, getting a university education is a process of learning to learn. What makes us strong against life is not our diplomas, but the knowledge and skills we fill behind our diplomas.” Nazlı said, “I would like to thank all of our teachers, especially my family, who have never spared us their love and effort. I hope that everything will be as we wish in our new life.”
