Near East University Experimental Health Research Center (DESAM) Institute, NEU3D Laboratory and Günsel Otomotiv started production studies to overcome the demand for the equipment and devices needed to fight with the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the statement made by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, the "face shield" designed by the engineers of the NEU3D Laboratory started to be produced after the physician verification, as part of the protection of the health personnel in the front line in the fight against the pandemic.

The biggest difference of the face shield which will be used for individual protection is that this protective equipment, which started to be produced as of today, is produced 50% faster than its counterparts in the production process and that it provides material savings.

In the “face shield” production process, the support capacity of Günsel Otomotiv was also increased and its production capacity was doubled. Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel “We will overcome these difficult days together”
