The process of preparing BAP and TUBITAK projects will be discussed in the “Scientific Research Projects Writing Course” organized in cooperation with DESAM Research Institute and NERITA, and open to all academics in the TRNC.

After the negotiations between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Republic of Turkey, the efforts to open all TUBITAK project calls to TRNC universities and researchers accelerated. The issue, which came to the agenda after the contacts of the Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu in Ankara in July, is of great importance in terms of diversifying the funding source for the projects of universities and accelerating R&D studies.

Research centers affiliated with the Near East University Center of Excellence also and carried out a strategy study on the subject. There are 25 research and application centers operating under the Near East University Center of Excellence.

TUBITAK supports will make a great contribution to R&D in TRNC universities!
At the meeting chaired by Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, the functioning of the process was discussed with the support of TUBITAK, Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ emphasized the opportunities made by opening TUBITAK project calls to TRNC universities and researchers and emphasized the personal and institutional benefits that will arise. NERITA President and TUBITAK R&D Support Group Executive Board Member Prof. Dr. Murat Özgören, on the other hand, drew attention to multidisciplinary projects, future vision and corporate collaborations.

DESAM Research Institute Deputy Director Prof. Dr. Seda Vatansever, on the other hand, conveyed the points to be considered from the TUBITAK R&D Support structure and potential project applications.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that the necessary studies should be implemented as soon as possible, especially in order to increase awareness of TUBITAK project supports and to increase competencies in project writing. It has been announced that the number of visits, workshops, and courses related to the subject will increase in the coming days, and necessary arrangements will be made to transfer the experience of TUBITAK Support Programs into DESAM and NERITA and will be opened to all researchers. In this context, the first step was taken immediately with the “Scientific Research Projects Writing Course”, which is open to all academics in the TRNC.

Scientific Research Projects Writing Course will be held
Near East University DESAM Research Institute and NERITA organized the “Scientific Research Projects Writing Course” with the aim of transferring their TUBITAK Support Programs experience to all researchers. The course, which will be held at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Near East University on September 7, is open to all academics in the TRNC universities. In the “Scientific Research Projects Writing Course”, the process of preparing BAP and TUBITAK Projects will be discussed within the scope of priority areas. A ‘Certificate of Participation’ will also be given to those who complete the course, in which the participants are expected to learn the basics of scientific research projects.
