Near East University has fixed the foreign currencies by lowering the exchange rates

By taking into consideration the recent fluctuations in currency that lead to economic exposure due to the gradual rise in foreign exchange volatility and currency depreciation in Turkish Lira, Near East University has announced that the university would fix the rates by lowering the exchange rates for school fees that charged in Euro and Pound (Sterling).

According to the press info released by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of the Near East University, the Rectorate has evaluated the exposure to gradual exchange rate fluctuations and concluded to fix the foreign currencies by lowering the exchange rates till the end of the academic year in order to prevent parents from being affected financially by the appreciation of foreign currencies versus Turkish Lira.

3.65 TL for 1 Euro and 4.50 TL for 1 Pound are the fixed exchange rates till the end of the academic yearo

In the press statement, it was highlighted that the exchange rates of Euro and Pound were lowered and fixed so as to €1=3.65TL and £1 = 4.50 TL. It was noted the fixed exchange rate for pound (£) would be valid for fees charged by Near East College, Near East Primary School and Near East Preschool, and the fixed rate for Euro (€) would be valid for fees charged by the university.

The Rectorate of the Near East University released a statement regarding the issue: “Due to the gradual appreciation of foreign currencies and depreciation of our currency, our country’s economy is experiencing hard times. In this challenging period that our economy passing through, as the Near East University, we have decided to fix the rates by lowering the exchange rates in order to prevent our valuable students and their parents from experiencing the slightest victimization in education, which is one of the most fundamental milestones of our society.

So far, it has been our greatest priority to provide all possibilities for our students to focus on education without experiencing any economic disadvantages.
