
Academic Member of Department of Biomedical Engineering of Near East University, Assist. Prof. Dilber Uzun Özşahin successfully represented the University at the 14th Topical Seminar on Innovative Particle and Radiation Detectors (IPRD16), which was held on 3-6 October, 2016 in Siena, Italy.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Near East University was represented at the aforementioned seminar via the joint work of NEU Department of Biomedical Engineering, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Department of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Radiology of Harvard Faculty of Medicine. It was expressed that their joint work had drawn the attention of many and that it was on “Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) Simulation of small animal brain” and “Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Simulation and editing fuzzy images which occurs due to unwanted movement while scanning.”
